Tablecloth Size Charts

Choosing the appropriate size line for your table can be a bit challenging at times depending on the size and shape of your table. Tables come in different sizes and shapes. The more common shapes are round, rectangle, square and oval. Many times square tables have an insert leaf with turns them into a rectangle table and often round tables with a leaf become oval shaped. The different size drops become important when you are figuring out how the table cloth will be used. For instance if you are just eating at the table you probably want a shorter length drop so and not to be in your way while dining. If you were having a banquet often it is desired to have a linen that will touch the floor for a nicer appearance since people will not actually be sitting and eating at the table. Generally, breakfast and lunch tables are set up with a 6" to 8" drop for the table cloth. Dinner table linens usually have a 8" to 12" drop and formal setups have a 12" to 18" drop. For lavish events some may like the table linen drop length to be longer than the table is tall so the linen puddles on the floor a little. We have tried to put together a number of charts and tables to help you select the proper size table cloth for your table.

Some common linen sizes for tables are:

• Square: 52 x 52 inches

• Rectangle: 52 x 70 inches, 60 x 84 inches

• Oval: 60 x 102 inches, 60 x 120 inches, 60 x 144 inches

• Round: 60 inches, 70 inches, 90 inches
